Mr. Sorefasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his meeting with representatives of the Inter-Governmental Committee for European Immigration ; as a result of this meeting what undertaking he gave regarding the admission to the United Kingdom of foreign nationals leaving Chile ; and whether any such persons have already been admitted.
§ Mr. AmeryMy right hon. Friend has had no meeting with the Inter-Governmental Committee for European Immigration. The question of any new undertaking on our part to admit foreign nationals from Chile to the United Kingdom does not therefore arise.
