§ Mr. LaneEEC nationals do not need work permits, but those who obtain work which is expected to last more than six months require residence permits. In the period 1st January 1973 to 30th September 1973, 4,974 EEC nationals were granted residence permits for employment in the United Kingdom—104 Belgian, 264 Danish, 1,211 French. 109W 1,022 German, 1,787 Italian, 6 Luxembourg and 580 Netherlands nationals.
