§ Mr. Cordleasked the Minister of State for Defence whether he will seek powers to make an annual gift to supplement on future Remembrance Sundays the retirement pensions of veterans of both world wars.
§ Mr. BuckI do not think it would be right to seek such powers, but ex-Service men are eligible for the £10 payment authorised for this year by the Pensioners' Payments and National Insurance Act 1973 under the same conditions as apply to the rest of the community.
