§ Mr. Anthony StodartNo, Sir. In acceding to the Community we accepted Community arrangements for these commodities. As a result of our negotiations, however, the retail price of butter is lower now than before these levies were introduced, and that of cheddar cheese is virtually unchanged.

§ Mr. Anthony StodartNo, Sir. The current levy represents some 4 per cent. of cif import prices and there is every prospect of a nil levy from 1st February next year.
