§ Mrs FennerThe expert committees considering nutritional, safety and other aspects have not yet advised me on artificial proteins thus derived. Meanwhile I would refer the hon. Member to the statement I made during the debate on the Adjournment of 16th May that there is no question at present of microbial proteins based on methanol or on paraffins being used as ingredients of food for human consumption.
