§ Mr. BlakerThe Government have not yet reached a decision on the recommendations of the Defence Lands Committee. As announced in the Explanatory Memorandum on the Report (Cmnd. 5364) a period has been set aside for public comment and discussion and my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister stated in response to a Question on 16th October—[Vol. 861, c. 27–8.]—that it was hoped that an announcement could be made early in the New Year.
