§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will consider appointing a representative of the Corporation of Mortgage Brokers to the joint Government-Building Societies Association Committee which is to consider matters relating to house purchase.
§ Mr. ChannonIt would not be appropriate to extend the membership of this Committee, which has been set up jointly by agreement between the Government and the Building Societies Association. I am however always ready to consider any views on the private housing market which the Corporation of Mortgage and Finance Brokers may wish to put forward from time to time.
