§ Mr. Elystan Morganasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will request the Welsh Council to make a survey of 294W the production costs of dairy farmers in Wales.
§ Mr. Peter ThomasIt is for the Welsh Council to determine its own programme of work. Financial data on dairy farms and other types of farming systems in Wales are, however, already provided annually by the farm management survey for England and Wales, undertaken by the universities on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Moreover, a university survey of dairy herds was carried out in the year ending 31st March 1973, the results of which are now being analysed.
