§ Mr. Pendryasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is now in a position to make a statement on the future of Hattersley and Carrbrook, Manchester, overspill estates in the Stalybridge and Hyde constituency, following his discussions with the appropriate authorities concerned.

Member to the Department's Circular 107/73, "Housing Accommodation Outside a Local Authority's Area", which asks the local authorities concerned to consult together and seek ways of overcoming whatever difficulties may have arisen or might arise. I hope that any difficulties will be resolved in the best interests of the tenants concerned.
