§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe Commission's report on the common agricultural policy briefly refers to the fact that potatoes are not yet subject to a common organisation of the market, and states that such a common organisation would entail the application of rules of competition and the introduction of quality standards. I shall want to clarify the meaning of this very general reference before trying to assess its implications.
