§ Mr. DeanMy right hon. Friend has no power to increase the amounts, which are at the discretion of the Supplementary Benefits Commission under paragraph 13 of Schedule 2 to the Ministry110W of Social Security Act 1966. The commission reviewed the amounts normally allowed as recently as April 1973.
