§ Mr. Warrenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what air and ground transport has been made available by Her Majesty's Government for famine relief work in Ethiopia.
§ Mr. WoodBecause lack of transport may impede the work of relief organisations Her Majesty's Ambassador in Addis Ababa asked for authority to purchase vehicles to meet such needs. This authority has been given, and embassy vehicles are also being made available for famine relief tasks. Her Majesty's Government have sent to Addis Ababa by air quantities of food, blankets and medical supplies to meet specific requests from the committee in Addis Ababa which is co-ordinating relief measures.
