Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is the total sum made available to local authorities under the minor works programme between 1970–71 and 1974–75.

The total sum programmed for minor works between 1970–71 and 1974–75 is £262.7 million for England and Wales at 1973 prices. Also, £18.3 million has been programmed as earmarked additions to minor works allocations for 1974–75 for the first part
