§ Mr. CarlisleThis report, by a working party of the Home Office Standing Committee on Crime Prevention, contains useful recommendations addressed mainly to retailers on ways of preventing shoplifting and thefts by shop staff. Copies of the report have been distributed to retail trade associations, chambers of trade, chambers of commerce and chief officers of police, and it has been placed on sale by Her Majesty's Stationery Office. A shorter version of the report is being made available free to small shopkeepers.
