§ Mr. Skeetasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, in order to assist the evaluation of proposals for noise abatement, whether he will publish a comparison between the noise in an industrial process measured in decibels and the noise derived from a typical West Indian steel band playing in a hall; and whether he intends to deal equally in his forthcoming legislation with all such sources of noise.
§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsI cannot anticipate the details of the legislation which is shortly to be introduced in another place, but it is not practicable to make any objective comparison of the kind my hon. Friend seeks.
