§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take steps to ensure, in the case of a divorced woman who wishes to earn a retirement pension in her own right on her own contributions, that the period of marriage prior to divorce should be credited to her contribution record provided she still contributes herself for at least half a normal working life.
