asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what transfers were made, and what amounts were received, by the United Kingdom in respect of the EEC in the period June-September 1973.

In the period June-September 1973 the European Communities' sterling account with the Paymaster-General was credited with £65,599,635.82. Receipts to the United Kingdom during this period amounted to £38,817,488.55. This figure excludes transfers made to the FEOGA deposit account in the United Kingdom but not yet drawn on by the United Kingdom Intervention Board for Agricultural Produce.
