Mr. Sydney Chapman

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT his Department's estimate of the total number of dwellings in England and Wales, and the breakdown of those numbers by type and ownership.

The current estimates of the total and the tenure of dwellings at December 1972 are given below:
