HC Deb 07 November 1973 vol 863 cc185-6W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what study has been made of the system of training blind children alongside normal pupils introduced in Rhodesia and practised at Lower Gwelo College and five other Rhodesian schools.

Mrs. Thatcher

The report of the recent Committee of Inquiry into the Education of the Visually Handicapped referred to practice in other European countries and the United States of America but not in Rhodesia. I should be glad to receive any information about the system there that my hon. Friend cares to send me.
