Two Whitley Council agreements, both relating to extra payments for additional work in connection with the reorganisation of the National Health Service, were submitted to the Pay Board. The board 75W ruled that such payments were not consistent with the stage 2 code. A similar ruling was given by the board in the case of public health medical officers. There is, however, provision in the pay code for stage 3 for extra payment for additional work in connection with the forthcoming reorganisation of public services.
