What changes in Ministerial responsibilities for nature conservation are to accompany the establishment of the Nature Conservancy Council.

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (LORD WINDLESHAM)

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for the Environment has by Order appointed November 1, 1973, as the day from which the Nature Conservancy Council commence to discharge their functions. From that date he will take over from my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Education and Science her general responsibilities for nature conservation, including those for general policy towards endangered species.
