§ Mr. Gordon CampbellProposals to recognise non-Christian religious marriage ceremonies under certain conditions were made by the committee under the chairmanship of Lord Kilbrandon in its comprehensive report on the marriage law of Scotland in 1969. The committee's recommendations are broadly acceptable to the Government, but it is not possible to say when legislation will be introduced.
