HC Deb 22 May 1973 vol 857 cc51-2W
Dr. David Owen

asked the Secretary State for the Environment how many council houses are expected to be started in the current year in the city of Plymouth; and what applications he has under consideration for discretionary grants to assist in council house building in the city of Plymouth.

Mr. Eyre

As to the first part of the Question, the hon. Member should seek information from the council.

As to the second part, I assume he has in mind additional yardstick allowances which the Department is ready to consider, where appropriate, to take account of local market conditions. No applications from the council for the assessment of such allowances are currently before the Department.
