§ Mr. Kinseyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will institute a study of the financial benefits to the nation arising from widows who go to work, with particular relation to (a) revenue from tax, (b) earnings from their contributions to production and (c) the saving of supplementary benefits.
§ Mr. NottWhile I believe that working widows contribute greatly to the22W prosperity of the nation, I do not consider that the benefits of such a study would be commensurate with the costs.
