asked the Lord President of the Council if he will take steps to ensure that the motor cars to be provided for the United Kingdom delegation to the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe are of British manufacture.

The motor cars provided for the United Kingdom delegation to the Consultative Assembly are hired locally for the three Assembly meetings each year through the Consul-General in Strasbourg.

It would not be practicable for the delegation to insist on the hire of motor cars of British manufacture.
