HoweThe Department hopes shortly to complete the investigations into imports of pickled birds from Cyprus to which I referred in the answer which I gave on 19th March to the Question by the hon. Member for Roxburgh, Selkirk and Peebles (Mr. David Steel). As I said then, there were no imports of such birds from Cyprus in 1972; nor were there any imports of them from Cyprus in the early months of 1973. I have no information about imports of pickled birds from other Mediterranean countries.—[Vol. 853, c.11.]
