asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many houses have now been sold to residents by the Aycliffe Development Corporation.

At 16th May 1973, the Aycliffe Development Corporation had sold to tenants 936 dwellings originally built for letting.

Mr. David Reed

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the current housing stock of the Aycliffe Development Corporation; how many houses are now being built; and how many are planned for the next year.

Mr. Channon

At 16th May 1973, Aycliffe Development Corporation had 5,407 dwelling units available for letting. At that date the corporation had contracts in hand for 228 dwelling units for letting.

During the financial year 1973-74 the corporation expects to complete 172 dwelling units for letting.
