§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if, in view of the energy resource problem, he will seek powers in addition to those presently available to promote, especially in the public sector, the use of coal in place of oil for steam raising purposes.
§ Mr. Tom BoardmanExisting powers are adequate for present circumstances. In the event of problems with the price or availability of oil the Central Electricity Generating Board has considerable flexibility to increase its use of coal.
