§ Mr. Edwin Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the names of the firms which have requested the Commission on Industrial Relations to investigate their existing machinery for the settling of disputes.
§ Mr. Chichester-ClarkThere is no provision for the CIR to carry out investigations at the request of firms. Questions are referred to the commission for inquiry either by the Secretary of State or by the National Industrial Relations Court.
