§ 44. Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether, having regard to the fact that the effects of the removal of the limitation on total movements at Heathrow and the substitution of a ban on night jet take-offs have been to increase night jet landings by 50 per cent., he will revise his 1973 regulations so as to secure a return of night jet landings to 1971 levels.
§ Mr. Michael HeseltineThe aim is to reduce total night jet movements this summer by about 10 per cent, compared with 1972, and that calls for a reduction in landings. It would be premature to revise the published restrictions at this time, but I am keeping the position under review.
