§ Mr. Dudley SmithOn 4th April 1973, there were 328 unfilled vacancies in the Kidsgrove employment exchange area and on 5th April 1972 there were 58. The statistics relate only to notified vacancies remaining unfilled and do not measure the total unsatisfied demand for labour.
