§ Mr. Meacherasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer, consequent to his written reply on 16th April, by how much his estimate of £350 million would be reduced if the proposed tax-free allowances were given only to children resident in the United Kingdom and up to 19 years of age, as is the case with the existing family allowances.
