§ 30. Mr. Cormackasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how much compensation for loss of life, personal injury and damage to property caused by acts of terrorism has been paid since 1968; and how many claims were still outstanding on 1st April 1973.
§ Mr. David HowellIn the period up to 31st March 1973, £3,482,164 was paid under the Criminal Injuries to Persons (Compensation) Act (Northern Ireland) 1968. In the same period £35,329,553 was paid in respect of malicious damage to property.
On 1st April 1973 there were 5,788 outstanding claims for loss of life and personal injury and 32,116 outstanding claims for damage to property.
