§ Mr. Anthony StodartThe sum total of farmers' net incomes, landowners' net rents, farm workers' wages and interest charges averaged per person in agriculture is estimated at 4,097 units of account (£1,707 converted at £1=2.40 ua) in the United Kingdom in 1971 and at 2,833 ua (£1,180) in the rest of the European Community. Persons in agriculture include both farmers and workers.
