HC Deb 02 May 1973 vol 855 c319W
Mr. Molyneaux

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people were killed in the county of Antrim in 1972 and up to 31st March 1973, respectively.

Mr. Peter Mills

The police have records of 128 people who were killed or found dead in 1972; this figure includes 88 who died as a result of motor accidents, 37 whose deaths were apparently connected with the security situation, and three deaths from other causes.

In the first quarter of 1973, 19 people died as a result of motor accidents. Seven deaths, apparently connected with the security situation, were also reported.
