§ Mr. Meacherasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if it is the required practice of local hospital management committees to calculate the financial resources of psychiatric in-patients on the same basis as that used by the Supplementary Benefits Commission, in that capital up to £325 is disregarded and thereafter 5p is deducted from any income award made for each £25 capital possessed above £325 up to £800.
