§ Mr. LaneMy right hon. Friend signed 87 deportation orders under the Immigration Act 1971 between 1st January and 19th March. In 86 cases the person concerned had been convicted of an offence punishable by imprisonment and recommended for deportation by the court, and the remaining case was one of breach of conditions.
