§ 34. Mr. Wallasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will make a statement on the effect of the Aldington-Jones proposals on the Hull and Goole Docks; and to what extent those docks are now under- or over-manned.
§ Mr. Chichester-Clark329 registered dock workers from Hull and 26 from Goole have left the industry under the special severance scheme, reducing the registers in the two ports to 2,136 and 303 respectively. During the four weeks ending 16th March there was an average net daily surplus of 25 men in Hull and 15 in Goole.
