§ Q10. Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Prime Minister what recent meetings he has had with the Trades Union Congress and Confederation of British Industry and when he will be meeting them again.
§ The Prime MinisterI met the CBI, to discuss the consultative document on the Price and Pay Code, on Thursday 15th March; and I held a meeting yesterday with the Chairman and General Secretary of the TUC, accompanied by officials of unions representing National Health Service employees, to discuss the situation in the hospital service. I will be meeting the CBI and the TUC again on Wednesday 4th April, when I propose to take the chair at the next meeting of the National Economic Development Council.
§ Q17. Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Prime Minister if he will make a statement about his discussions with representatives of the CBI about the Price and Pay Code on 15th March.
