§ 40. Mr. Boothasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what recommendations have been made to the Council of Ministers by the EEC Commission about the development prospects of the mechanical engineering industry in the South of Italy.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantI am not aware of any such recommendations regarding this study which, I understand, has been undertaken with Commission assistance at the request of the Italian Government and is not yet completed.
