asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) when the structure plan for the major growth area Reading/ Wokingham/Aldershot/Basingstoke will be published;

(2) what discussions he proposes holding with the appropriate local authorities before the publication of the structure plan for the major growth area of Reading/Wokingham/Aldershot/Basingstoke.

This is a matter primarily for the local planning authorities; I understand that publication is likely to take place during 1975.

Discussions between the Department and the local planning authorities are already taking place and will continue throughout the early stages of the preparation of the plan.
