§ Mr. St. John-StevasThe Department does not collect statistics by reference to parliamentary constituencies. In Cheshire in January 1972 there were 36 full-time and part-time pupils aged four in maintained nursery schools and 6,908 in other maintained primary schools. Together these numbers were equivalent to 37.8 per cent. of births in 1967.
