§ 31. Sir Gilbert Longdenasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what has been the outcome of her discussions with teachers and local education authorities concerning indiscipline, violence and vandalism in schools.
§ 33. Mr. Montgomeryasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will make a statement about the action that has been taken following her discussions last summer about the problem of violence in the schools.
§ Mrs. ThatcherMy Department collaborated with other Departments and local authority associations in drawing up a questionnaire on violence and indiscipline in the schools which was sent by the Association of Education Committees to local education authorities in January. Replies have been asked for by mid-March.
