From 1st January 1971 to 31st December 1972, 1,387 applications for employment vouchers were received in respect of Commonwealth citizens resident in Hong Kong.

Between 1st January 1971 and 31st December 1972 there were 807 cases in which vouchers were not issued following applications in respect of Commonwealth citizens resident in Hong Kong. In some of the cases another method of admission was appropriate.
