HL Deb 12 March 1973 vol 340 cc147-8WA
LORD AVEBURY

asked Her Majesty's Government why the "freeze" does not apply to charges made for the occupation of pitches on residential caravan sites.

THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT (LORD SANDFORD)

It is considered that if the provisions of the pay and prices standstill were applied to the charges for pitches on residential caravan sites it would seriously jeopardise the already limited security enjoyed by the occupiers of such accommodation.

House adjourned at two minutes past ten o'clock.
