§ Mr. Martenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the general effect of the draft Council direction No. 2018/72 (ES 141) dated 22nd February 1973 indicating, in addition, the Departments concerned, the effect it will have on United Kingdom law, the policy implications and the date when it is likely to be considered by the Council of Ministers.
§ Mr. Anthony RoyleThe information requested by my hon. Friend is of the kind which the Select Committee on European Community Secondary Legislation has recommended should be furnished in regard to draft Community instruments. I would, therefore, ask my hon. Friend to await the statement which my right hon. Friend the Leader of the House is to make tomorrow, 13th March, on the Committee's interim report.
