§ Mr. CarlisleExamination of the medical effects of lead ingestion, including possible behavioural effects, is primarily a matter for my right hon.396W Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services. I understand that a committee under the chairmanship of his chief medical officer is considering the physical effects of lead in the environment, including the possible mental effects of lead poisoning.
