§ Mr. Maurice MacmillanTheDepartment of Employment Gazette published on 28th June showed that family expenditure rose on average from £28.57 in 1970 to £35.06 in 1972, a rise of 22.7 per cent. In the same period net family income rose by 22.8 per cent.
