§ Mr. Redmondasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in view of the contents of paragraphs 37 and 38 of the consultative document relating to the new building Bill, he intends to introduce new building regulations for England and Wales during the current Session, or in the new Session to commence at the end of 1973.
§ Mr. ChannonNew building regulations cannot be made until the necessary 421W enabling powers are enacted, and, as I informed my hon. Friend on 11th June, I cannot yet say when it will be possible to introduce legislation.
