Rentonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, in view of the importance to farmers of spray irrigation, he will give directions to river authorities to make representations to water supply undertakings in their areas to restrict the use of water for purposes such as car washing and garden sprinkling, during periods of water shortage.
§ Mrs. FennerWhilst we recognise the importance to farmers of spray irrigation, this is a matter for the river authorities and statutory water undertakers who work in close consultation with one another.
